Michael Peloquin offers Zoom (online) lessons for Saxophone, Chromatic/Diatonic Harmonica & Arranging/Sibelius software guidance. Intermediate level musicians and beyond are welcome. Lessons are tailored to individual musical interests. Michael’s expertise and performance experience are in Roots R & B, Blues, Rock, Funk and Jazz improvisation. Experienced musicians fluent on another instrument will be considered for acceptance as a beginner level Harmonica or Saxophone student.

(In-person instruction is available on a limited basis in the San Francisco Bay Area)

Michael offers a unique model of chromatic harmonica instruction. His goal is to help you down a path of becoming a musician that plays the chromatic harmonica, rather than a harmonica player. The vast majority of his playing experience has focused on R&B/Soul, Pop, Jazz styles. The expression and emotion of these styles are the focus of his instructional style; all based in functional music theory visualization techniques, tone production and tonal effects. Michael offers a unique model of diatonic harmonica instruction. His goal is to help you down a path of becoming a musician that plays the harmonica, rather than a harmonica player. The vast majority of his playing experience has focused on Blues & Country/Nashville styles. The expression and emotion of these styles are the focus of his instructional style; all based in basic, functional music theory visualization techniques, tone production and tonal effects. Overblows/overbends are taught with an understanding of their functional use in popular styles and positions. He will help you learn to serve the song, in any genre.
